There’s a Flying Bee in the Dryer!

I own the world’s ugliest set of silk pajamas, hands down.

One of my spontaneous online shopping decisions told me that clicking on the ‘Buy Now” button below a black and yellow pair of patterned pj’s was a good idea. I was wrong.

When I was living at the home I built I didn’t mind washing them because I’d use the washing machine I had built, but from August to November of 2025 I had to go to the place where everyone brings their laundry because I was renting a house in the city.

For whatever reason, no matter how deeply I buried my black and yellow pj’s in the dryer, once they were being tossed around they’d always make their way to the huge dryer window and I kid you not, it looked like a flying bee the size of a house cat was getting thrown around inside.

And anyone sitting on that side of the shop, over where the dryers were, would sit and stare with great fascination my flying bee pj’s as the site was truly hypnotic. After it happened the first two times I simply started hand washing them myself at home.

Anyways I tell you that story because I’m so happy to be home once again because today – I finally washed the damn things in my own washing machine and hung them up proudly to dry in the sun all afternoon.

Well, not proudly as they’re still an eye sore and I hang my clothes behind my house where the washing machine is so nobody can see either them or me.

But I can’t do anything about the birds staring down at them.

I wonder if they feel intimidated by them? Are birds generally afraid of a bee the size of a small leopard? I mean, I’m the one who has to wear the damn things and I’m certainly frightened of them :)
